There are many reasons why the Mornington Peninsula has always been one of the getaway destinations for Melbournians and those visiting this State.
The Mornington Peninsula offers a diverse range of natural and man made entertainment and activity opportunities.
Take walks along the cliffs at Cape Schanck, hire a boat and go fishing in the bay, play golf or bowls at the local country club,
Check out the amazing views from Arthurs Seat lookout, from the bay to the beaches or into the hinterland - you can satisfy most of your outdoor activities and interests.
From Portsea, Sorrento to Mornington and up to Frankston on Port Phillip Bay - Flinders, Balnarring and Hastings on Western Port Bay - Main Ridge and Red Hill up the centre - all within an easy 30-40 minute drive.
There are over 50 wineries to visit on the peninsula, you can go picking your own strawberries just down the road (in season), or relax and indulge your senses in the world famous Peninsula Hot Springs.
Restaurants, cafes and other food venues to suit any budget and taste abound. Music and art seem to be part of the culture for many here and there are many opportunities to experience the variety of local talent in the arts.
